Pacifico Partners:
Partner & Revenue Lead

Brent Emler

Brent Emler built his career at the seam between sales and operations — as an owner of Velma, the CRM for mortgage loan officers; at Lender Toolkit, the ICE Elite Partner behind AI Underwriter™; and at Mortgage Automation Technologies, where BIG Point of Sale united origination and manufacturing in one borrower experience.

Co-Founder, Pacifico Partners
Every lender knows where loan manufacturing breaks down: conditions managed by hand, tasks tracked in spreadsheets, and edge cases handled from memory because the system can't. ICE's new technology — Enhanced Conditions and the workflow engine — was built to carry that load. But the technology is only half the work. The other half is people: earning buy-in from the teams whose jobs are changing, and turning new capability into daily habit.

Brent has spent his career on both halves of that problem.

As an owner of Velma, the CRM built for mortgage loan officers, Brent spent years working directly with the people who drive a lender's revenue. He learned what loan officers actually need from technology — and just as importantly, what makes them abandon it. That vantage point taught him the lesson that shapes everything Pacifico Partners does today: a lender lives or dies on the relationship between sales and operations. When that handoff is clean — when a loan officer can make a promise to a borrower and operations can keep it — everyone wins. When it isn't, no amount of software fixes the friction.

At Lender Toolkit, an ICE Elite Partner and one of the country's most advanced Encompass automation practices, Brent took that understanding into the manufacturing side of the business, working with some of the largest lenders in the United States. He led sales for AI Underwriter™ — a tool that generated a complete, loan-level conditions list in 90 seconds, replacing days of manual review with systematic, data-driven conditioning. Selling that kind of change confirmed what Velma taught him: the best automation in the world fails if underwriters don't trust it, processors don't adopt it, and leadership doesn't champion it. Winning hearts is as much a part of the implementation as writing the business rules.

Most recently, as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Mortgage Automation Technologies, Brent helped lenders deploy BIG Point of Sale — a platform that proved what's possible when origination and manufacturing stop operating as separate worlds. BIG POS connected the borrower's application experience directly to the manufacturing process behind it, so that what a borrower submitted, what a loan officer promised, what a referral partner expected, and what the operations team needed all flowed through one connected experience. It was the clearest demonstration of his career-long thesis: when sales and operations share one process, everyone it touches — borrower, loan officer, referral partner, and the manufacturing team — gets a better experience.

At Pacifico Partners, Brent brings that complete arc — revenue side, manufacturing side, and the platform that united them — to one specific mission: helping lenders manufacture loans the way Encompass Web was designed to work. He advises lender teams through Enhanced Conditions implementation — moving from static condition sets to conditions that trigger and clear systematically based on loan data — and through the workflow engine, where tasks are applied to the loan automatically and routed to the right person at the right milestone. And because he's spent a career on both sides of the sales-operations relationship, he advises on the part most implementations skip: building a process that serves the loan officer's promise and the operations team's reality, so the technology is something your people own rather than work around.

His role is the advisor's role: review what exists, flag what will break, validate what works, and recommend the path forward. Your team defines the business requirements. Your team owns the decisions. Brent makes sure those decisions are informed by someone who understands that every condition, task, and milestone ultimately exists to keep a promise made to a borrower.

Partner & Practice Lead

Christopher N. Davis

Chris Davis brings over a decade of mortgage technology leadership — from leading Encompass implementation at the largest financial institution in the country to directing full re-implementations at national lenders. At Pacifico Partners, he architects the workflows, Enhanced Conditions, and API-native automation that replace manual workarounds with system-driven precision.

Co-Founder & Encompass Architect

Chris has spent more than a decade in the seats our clients sit in. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Product at the largest financial institution in the country, where he led the implementation of Encompass across the Retail and Correspondent divisions — partnering directly with ICE, shaping the product backlog, and serving as Senior Encompass Lead on the administration team. Before that, he was SVP of Technology for a multi-brand mortgage group and Manager of Mortgage Technology at a national lender, where he directed a full Encompass re-implementation spanning Retail and Wholesale, led a team of Encompass Administrators and a tiered support desk, and served as Product Owner for the point-of-sale and digital mortgage platforms that define the modern borrower experience.
In other words: Chris knows exactly what it feels like when the technology meant to accelerate a lending operation becomes the thing holding it back — and he knows what it takes, organizationally and architecturally, to fix it.

At Pacifico Partners, Chris applies that experience to help lenders break free of the "Legacy Anchor" — the outdated, SDK-based configurations that keep operations teams trapped in manual workarounds. His specialty is the operational foundation: Enhanced Conditions, the Encompass workflow engine, and task-based workflows that allow mortgage teams to finally realize the impact their technology was always meant to deliver. He has automated the processes lenders feel most acutely — disclosure delivery, intent-to-proceed, and pricing eligibility during fulfillment — and he has done it at every scale, from mid-market lenders to the largest institutions in the industry.

Chris is an active developer, not a slide-deck consultant. He writes JavaScript for Encompass web implementations and Visual Basic for Field Trigger and Milestone Completion rules — which means every architectural pattern he recommends is one he can build, test, and prove. Working alongside dozens of lenders, Chris replaces patchwork logic with system-driven precision. His measure of success is simple: every role in the operation — from the loan officer to the underwriter — has tools that support their expertise instead of fighting it.

Pacifico makes Encompass® migration smooth sailing.
